About this Project

Beldornie TowerThis house was originally owed by the earl of Yarbrough, grade ii listed and dates back to the 17th century

This job was undertaken over a 2 year period, coming back and forth to undertake different phases as the job progressed.

In the end we under took a complete re-roof of the building, using salvaged and reclaimed welsh slates and natural Spanish slates for the internal elevations, due to the shortage of welsh slate at the time.

There was one section to the east wing that was welsh slate hanging where we had to hand cut over 1000 slates to replicate what this elevation once would have look liked originally.

We covered all the dormers and roof bays with new code 5 and 6 lead and made all of the external roof guttering in lead in our workshop and installed them on site during the roof works.
